One of the things I’ve learned as an artist is that you don’t have to go trekking far and wide to find the perfect painting subject.  Painting subjects are everywhere, even your own backyard!  We regularly have a variety of birds visiting our backyard and I’m often out there photographing them and doing the occasional sketch or two.  I thought I’d share some of the photos I’ve taken (including one of our two bunnies who also enjoy the birds’ company):
