Description
This watercolour tutorial was painted from a photo of a bumblebee that I followed around in Tasmania until I finally captured the perfect reference shot for painting. I absolutely adore bumblebees with their little fat, furry bodies and their determined zig-zag flights from flower to flower. They look as though they’ve been stitched together from velvet and sunshine. In this tutorial, we’ll build the painting in layers, letting the watercolour do some of the dancing for us while we guide it gently into place.
