This is a male Plexippus paykulli. I love the rusty coloured orange stripes on his face, and the bluish tinge on his legs. Oh and I enjoyed splattering paint in the background and foreground. It’s hard to see in the picture but I used silver paint in the splats too which really sparkle in the light!
Painted using artist quality materials that are vegan and environmentally friendly. The paper is 300 gsm medium texture watercolour paper, and the paints I used were Holbein artist quality paints. This painting is unframed, leaving you the option to choose a mount and frame that suits your decor.
